Japanese fans will be happy to hear that Shinhwa member and soloist Shin Hye-sung's website entitled "Always HYESUNG" went online at 3pm on July 1st.

"Shin Hye-sung carved out a spot for himself in the Japanese pop industry after successfully concluding his first solo concert in Japan," said a representative from his agency, Good EMG. "There was an explosive response from his Japanese fans when his website opened online and fans even participated in a survey for the name of his fan club."

Shin Hye-sung will be releasing his third solo album in Korea this August. "'Always HYESUNG' was made possible by the fans from Japan who never hesitated to fly to Korea for my concerts or to show their support," said the grateful singer. Shin added, "I will repay them with a great concert which I am planning for the fall."

Actress Park Min-young returns to the small screen in the 9-year comeback of KBS 2TV's "Hometown Legends." Park will play a Gumiho.

The 2008 "Gumiho" is based on the story of the Gumiho-bloodline throughout the generations, and no one knows who will transform into the next Gumiho.

Park Min-young plays the part of "Myeong-ok," the youngest daughter at the Lee household. She's a bright character who brings a light to the otherwise dark atmosphere of the family.

Director Kwak Jung-hwan, who had also done the TV drama, "Hansung," will be in charge of "Gumiho," the first of the "Hometown Legends" series. The first serial begins on August 6th and it will be broadcast on Wednesdays and Thursdays through the whole month.

Park Min-young recently was part of the cast for the MBC sitcom "Highkick!" and the KBS 2TV drama, "I am Teacher."

The Miss Korea Southern California held its 37th annual pageant at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on June 27th last week. The Pageant’s organizers, Korea Times and its sponsors, Radio Seoul, KTAN-TV, Korean Air, and Macy’s, crowned the top five winners providing the top three winning beauties their tickets to be part of the 2008 Miss Korea Pageant, scheduled to take place on August 6th in Seoul, Korea. Although being part of such a prestigious pageant may be a dream for some, others find all and any means to place in the top three, competing for a chance to be crowned Miss Korea.
