Emcee Cho Young-koo will tie the knot with show host Shin Jae-eun in January next year.

One of Cho's close friends, singer Lee Kwang-pil, said Cho graduated from the Department of English at Yonsei University and is currently earning his master's degree in journalism at the same university, and will marry Hyundai Home Shopping TV host Shin next year.

Lee added that Cho and Shin met six months ago, and that Cho wants to finally get married with the blessing of many people. According to Lee, Shin accepted Cho's proposal and the two obtained their parents' consent, but the two families hastily held an official meeting last week behind closed doors in the wake of rumors about Cho's wedding.

Lee said the wedding has been set for January 15 and will be organized by a wedding agency run by Park Su-hong.
