Synopsis

The two made an appearance in front of their fans at their respective army divisions--Hwacheon and Cheolwon, both in Gangwon Province.

Competition to cast actor Song Seung-heon, who will be released from military service in November, is heating up.

Song’s popularity skyrocketed in Japan and Southeast Asia for his roles in movies and TV dramas. Song began his military service in November 2004, but his popularity remained high after the release of the Chinese song entitled “I’m Not Song Seung-heon.”

Japanese Fans Flock to See Song Seung-heon

Thousands of Japanese fans of actor Song Seung-heon are expected to visit Korea to see their favorite hallyu star, who will be discharged from military service November 15. Reservations for Korea-bound flights from Japan are almost filled up for the given period.

Song will hold a fan meeting at the Olympic Park in Seoul on November 18 and 19. Some 9,000 foriegn fans of the actor who were lucky to obtain tickets to the meetings--winning a competition with odds of one in ten--will arrive in Korea at least a day early to see Song as soon as possible.

The majority of Song's fans are from Japan.

Synopsis

Jun-seo (Song Seung-heon) and Eun-seo (Song Hye-kyo) were happily growing up as brother and sister until the results of a blood test turned their lives upside-down. The blood test, brought on by injury in a car accident, revealed that Eun-seo had been switched at birth with another girl. When this was brought out into the open, she was placed with her birth family and Jun-seo's family went to the United States. Years later, in his early twenties, Jun-seo returned to his hometown in Korea where he one day ran into Eun-seo unexpectedly. Eun-seo was being courted by the son of a wealthy family, Tae-seok (Wonbin), when she met Jun-seo again. She didn't realize how much she had missed him since that chance meeting. They were both working in the art field and began to spend time together. The two that had once grown up believing that they were brother and sister, had begun to develop romantic feelings. They were emotionally distraught and unsure of what to do with these feelings of romantic love. Eventually, they decided that they had no choice but to consider themselves brother and sister. They had decided to go on one last trip together when they realized that their feelings of love couldn't be denied, turning there trip into an escape from their family and former loves. Loved ones looked upon them with disdain; they were unable to understand their newfound love. Unable to live with the guilt, they once again decided to separate. Eun-seo returns to Tae-seok, and decides not tell Jun-seo that she is suffering from cancer. As her condition worsens, Jun-seo learns all about the secret that Eun-seo has been keeping from him and runs to her bedside. They spend Eun-seo's remaining time at Jun-seo's art studio. They return to the beach they visited in childhood; here Jun-seo carries Eun-seo on his back while she takes her last breath.

Heartthrob’s Fan-Meet Spells Airline Emergency

Seoul hotels and airlines are on high alert ahead of an Asia fan meeting with Song Seung-heon, who will be discharged from the military on Nov. 15. A staggering 9,000 fans from nine Asian countries will descend on Korea to see Song after he ends his 24-month stint in the service. Upon release, Song will meet his admirers at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul on Nov. 18 and 19.

The main hotels in downtown Seoul are already fully booked. Due to a shortage of plane tickets, Song’s agency has started negotiations with domestic airlines about operating special charter flights from Japan. “The fans that are heading to Korea are very devoted and made it through 10:1 odds to get here,” Song’s agency says. “Around 3,000 fans are stomping their feet in protest after failing to get a hotel room and flight tickets.”

Korean Stars Praised for Generosity in Japan

The Japanese media has praised Korean stars for their generous donations for flood victims.

Oricon & Entertainment World reported Sunday that Korean stars including actors Bae Yong-jun and Song Seung-heon donated a huge amount of money for flood victims.

Singer Kim Dong-wan, a member of the group Shinhwa, contributed 150 million won to the KBS benefit program “Request of Love” and asked it to use the money for flood victims, Oricon & Entertainment World said.

Actor Song Seung-heon sent 50 million won to KBS as a donation for flooding victims, saying that he hoped he could provide a little help to the victims. Song is serving in the military in Inje, Gangwon Province, which was hard hit during this summer’s rainy spell.

Song Seung Heon fan meeting, over 4,000 Japanese fans register in first 3 days

Over 4,000 participants have registered for a fan meeting, which is the first official event Song Seung Heon is taking part in after his discharge from the Korean military in November.

The 'Asia Fan Meeting 2006' will take place at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena on the 18th and 19th, which follows after Song Seung Heon's discharge date of November 15th.

When registrations were accepted first in Japan through Song Seung Heon's official Japanese fan club, 4,000 people registered in the first three days.

Personnel of Union Entertainment, the company producing this event, commented, "Currently we are only accepting registrations in Japan, but will be opening registration to Korea and other countries throughout Asia based on schedules starting at the end of this month."

Song Seung-heon Draws Attention in Japan before Discharge

The Japanese media is paying keen attention to Korean actor Song Seung-heon, who is to be discharged from the military in November.

Sanspo.com, the online edition of the Sankei Sports, reported Monday that Song, the male lead of Korean dramas “An Autumn Fairytale” and “A Summer Scent,” will host an event to meet Asian fans on November 18 and 19 at Olympic Park in Seoul immediately after he is discharged on November 15.

Sansports.com said that the event will be held to mark the discharge of Song, with some 10,000 fans coming from seven Asian countries including Korea, Japan, China and Singapore. A fan meeting will be held on the first day and a special concert featuring singers who sang the title songs of the actor’s dramas will be staged on the second day.
