Singer Son Ho-young will hold a solo live concert and talk show in Japan.

The former member of the boy band GOD has been performing steadily since his solo comeback last year.

Singer Son Ho-young, a member of the male group G.O.D., will go solo through a showcase concert on September 12.

Son will present some songs from his solo debut album, including “I Cry” and “Yes,” at the concert, which will be held at the Seoul Fashion Art Hall in Dongdaemun, Seoul. The title song “I Cry,” a lyric ballad, highlights the powerful voice of Son, who can sing three octaves. The medium-tempo funky style “Yes” is a dance song with a pounding beat.

Son has reportedly abandoned his old singing style which he used for the last seven years during his G.O.D. days, and acquired a totally new style for the solo album.

Sohn Ho-young, a former member of the male band GOD, will make a comeback as a solo artist after a year-long hiatus.

Sohn will release his ambitious first solo album, entitled “Yes,” in mid-September. The singer has devoted much time and effort to his debut solo album, which includes songs of diverse genres, such as funk, rhythm and blues, medium tempo pop and ballads. Sohn also expressed new vocal and breathing techniques in the album in a break from the techniques that he had used for seven years as a member of GOD. Those who participated in his album’s recording praised his new singing skills.

Former GOD Members to Gather for Danny Ahn

Singer Son Ho-young, a member of the now-disbanded five-man group GOD, will appear on the KBS 2FM Radio program “Kiss the Radio” hosted by fellow group member Danny Ahn.

Son will join the other former group members to commemorate the last show Ahn is hosting on Aug. 20. Ahn has decided to quit his radio career to pursue a career as an actor.

This will be the first time that all the group members have gathered together since last month, when they celebrated the birthday of Park Joon-hyung. Even after disbanding the group last year, they have maintained their strong friendships by advising each other and helping each other.

Sohn Ho-young to Go Solo

Sohn Ho-young, a member of the male band G.O.D., will soon announce his plans to debut as a solo artist. Sohn will appear as a solo artist for the first time at Chelsia Chan’s concert in Korea on July 21. Other guest performers will include Cho Kyu-chan, Ko Yu-jin, Kim Hyung-jun and Lee So-eun.

Sohn recently said he has been busy preparing his debut album and was honored to have an opportunity to sing on the same stage with Asian star Chelsia Chan, whose song “One Summer Night” was a favorite he liked to sing with his father.

Chan, who has released a new album after a 30-year hiatus, will hold a concert in Korea to thank her fans for their devotion. The new album will be released in Korea first among Asian countries.
