Japanese entertainment company Avex said it will release a series of educational DVDs entitled "Learning Korean through Songs" featuring 25 music videos of hit K-pop songs.

The songs include TVXQ's 2004 hit "Hug," Ahn Jae-wook's "Friend," Lee Byeng-hun's "Tears," BoA's "No.1" and SG WannaBe's "In Life."

In August, another DVD will be released featuring more hit songs including Shinhwa's "Deep Sorrow," Lee Dong-gun's "Hoping that My Wind Touches That Sky," Fly to the Sky's "Missing You," Brown Eyes' "Already a Year" and SG WannaBe's "Crime and Punishment."

As temperatures continue to rise this summer, K-pop stars are hoping to help fans cool down and enjoy the rest of the summer with pop music.

First up is former g.o.d. member Sohn Ho-young's summer concert ``Season 1 Under the Sea" on Aug. 18 and 19 at the Olympic Hall, Olympic Park in southern Seoul.

Singer cum actor Shin Seong-woo will hold his first solo concert in Japan October 21 at the Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo.

He first became known to the Japanese audience through his dramas 'First Love,' 'Wild Funny Girl,' and 'Man in Crisis,' after which he released a photo album in Japan. He also held three fan meetings in Tokyo, Osaka and Hiroshima and participated in a Korea-Japan arts exhibition.

Lee sent temperatures rising in 2003 when she made her debut as a sexy singer. Many female singers have since tried to follow in her footsteps, pushing the limits of sexiness with barely-there outfits and hot dance moves.

Koyote (코요태) is a popular South Korean dance and hip hop group consisting of members Kim Jong Min, Shin Ji, and Bbaek Ga. The group first debuted in 1999 with Shin Ji, Cha Seung Min, and Kim Goo. As a group, they are known for their catchy dance/pop songs, which have been their trademark. In 2005, Koyote won the KBS daesang (대상) (the Korean equivalent of the Grammy Award) for "Artist of the Year".
