Sexy singing diva Lee Hyori has been chosen as Korea's most powerful celebrity leading the fashion industry.

The cable channel "Olive" said Lee Hyori nabbed the number one spot in a recent survey conducted prior to a brand new show hosted by supermodel and actress Byun Jung-soo.

Some 50 reporters for leading fashion magazines took part in the survey.

Fashion designer Andre Kim and actor Cho In-sung followed closely behind in the second and third spots, respectively. Other celebrities that made the top 10 list include model Hye Park, singer and actress Uhm Jung-hwa, actress Kim Min-hee, designer Gee Chun-hee, designer Jung Kuho, actress Hwang Shin-hye and model Kim Dong-soo.

To make the hot summer months even hotter, Jeon Ji-hyun and Lee Hyo-lee are engaged in a battle over the title of Korea’s sexiest woman, pitted against each other to hype satellite DMB phones in a commercial.

The two stars’ initials have been used to christen the two Samsung Anycall phones Slim&J and Slim&H. They each have their own color. Lee is sexy in a provocative way, but can also be cute and unaffected. Jeon Ji-hyun manages to be sexy at the same time as radiating a certain purity and innocence.

The Korean edition of the fitness magazine Men's Health magazine has departed from the interchangeable male torsos that usually grace its cover to feature the K-Pop singer Lee Hyo-lee, a woman. The August edition shows Lee getting a hug from acting newcomer Lee Jai-yoon. She becomes the first woman on the cover of the magazine that more typically features the likes of Cho Han-sun and Lee Seo-jin. She will likely be the last for a long time, as will an eight-page special spread of the starlet shot in Maldives.

The concept for the shot was to show the “everyday” Lee Hyo-lee, so the singer is seen vacationing in a bikini and demure as a maiden. Her partner in the shoot, Korean Canadian Lee Jai-yoon, has appeared in the sitcom "Non-stop" and the DMB soap opera "Yap.” The magazine says the “innocent charm and youthfulness” of the two, plus “the way they diligently groom themselves” persuaded it to feature the two as representatives of the beauty of the times.
