Seo Taiji to Operate Exclusive Train for His Concert Goers

Singer Seo Taiji says he will operate a train exclusively for his audience members who live outside of Seoul for his upcoming "The Great 2008 Seo Taiji Symphony" concert, to be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on September 27.

Over 150 Thousand Copies Sold of Seo Taiji’s First Single

The Seo Taiji Company announced that the first single from Seo Taiji’s 8th album titled “Atomos Part Moai” has sold over 150 thousand copies.

The Seo Taiji Company said, "After the first batch of 100 thousand copies, we produced another 50 thousand, which became sold out, emptying the shelves of record stores last weekend," adding, "Even though just one single track was released, it is the only one this year to have sold over 150 thousand copies, and it was in a record-breaking 20 days."

Actor Lee Jun-ki recently said, "I am extremely honored and nervous to finally meet my idol."

During a recent interview, he also asked, "Is there anyone who hasn't been a fan of Seo Taiji at one point or another? Do you know anyone like that?" He also went on to say, "I was a huge fan and he was a great inspiration."

Seo Taiji, who recently released his 8th single album, will meet with Lee in a special program entitled "Seo Taiji's Comeback Special" on MBC TV that will be aired on August 4. Lee will meet the legendary singer as a fan.

Lee said, "As I got older, I became saddened by the thought of losing the innocent passion I once had for my idols. I still can't believe that I am going to meet the idol of my childhood. I really want to feel that passion once again."

Legendary Korean pop star Seo Taiji, who will be returning this season with his 8th studio album, recently shot blockbuster-level music videos worth 800,000 dollars in Chile and Canada.

In order to share his travel experiences with his fans, Seo produced a music video for his title track entitled "MOAI."

Featured in his music video are some of the world's most famous travel destinations including Chile's Death Valley, Moon Valley, Easter Island's Ahu Tongariki and the Canadian Niagara Falls

Seo's management agency said that while shooting in Easter Island, Seo nearly crashed in a helicopter because of strong gusts. The company said several crew members also had a difficult time while shooting at high atltitudes.

Following the album release on July 29, Seo will appear in a special program entitled "Seo Taiji, student number 25, Class 1, Freshman, Bukgong High School" on MBC on August 6. He will then go on to hold his comback concert entitled "ETPFEST 2008" on August 15 at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul.

Seo Taiji has announced he will release a brand new album. It will be his first album release in four years and six months.

Seo's management agency Seo Taiji Company said the single album, featuring four songs, will be released on July 29. All of the songs will be composed, written and produced by Seo himself.

The agency said Seo will go on to release his second single album and his eighth studio album. It said all of the songs in the three albums have been completed.

To record sounds for his eighth studio album, Seo visited an abandoned house in Gangwon Province. The video footage of his unusual trip to the area has been released online. Seo's official website is also showing streaming videos of a "Mystery Circle" discovered in the barley fields of Boyreong in South Chungcheong Province as well as an unidentified object flying over the COEX Mall in Seoul.

Seo Taiji's live comeback concert entitled "Eerie Taiji People Festival 2008" will be held at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium on August 15.
