A Popular male vocal group SG WannaBe's debut album in Japan entitled 'I Love SG WannaBe' has kicked off to a favorable start by landing on the 10th spot on the Japanese Oricon Chart's daily album chart.

The hit group SG Wannabe, which has also debuted in Japan, will sing the theme song for the Japanese film "Hanakage (Flower Shadow)" starring Korean actor Kim Rae-won in the lead role.

Chae Dong-ha, leader of SG Wannabe, is leaving the group. After the release of the 5th album in March, he plans to leave the band as a result of differences in opinion regarding future plans.

SG Wannabe or SG워너비 (SG stands for Simon and Garfunkel) is a popular South Korean R&B trio that debuted in 2002 with their song, "Timeless". They became an instant hit and the song, along with the music video, was played on cellular phones all over Korea, and their album topped the charts. The group didn't star in their music video, appear on television or stage concerts, and remained mysterious and faceless for quite some time. Still, they proved that talent was enough for them to remain extremely popular. They have been quoted, saying that they prefer not to appear in their music videos so that their audience will care more about the music, rather than the appearance.
