A total must see! This comedy/drama series changed my mind about Korean Drama. I was always under the impression that Korean Dramas are too dramatic in the 'over the top' sorta way until I watched this! The chemistry between the two main lead is very dynamic (hence leading to a lot of gossip about them possibly having something on)! That dynamism comes across on the screen. Both Hyun Bin & Kim Sun Ah are superb actors. Their subtle expressions makes the emotions they are suppose to portray seem very genuine. The other casts are totally spot-on. No one seems out of place. A better cast one would not be able to find. The script is also very well written. The conversations between the characters are real & true to life! Excellent job on the part of the Director. This is the first time I'm seeing a strong female protagonist! 'Sam Soon' is quirky, talented, with a relative low self-esteem. Very much like a lot of us women/girls. This is why most of us are able to identify with her. However, she unlike most of us, will not take crap sitting down. She gives as good as she takes. Like the way she kicks Jeon-hin shin when she felt that he betrayed her. Hahaha... wish I had the guts to kick all the guys who have betrayed me in the shin. So, for those who want to laugh, giggle, cry, get exasperated... you REALY, REALLY need to watch this. In the span of two & a half weeks, I've watched all 16 episodes, FOUR times over! Especially recommended for Romantic drama diehard fans.
Sorry but I'm new a this but may I know what "SM", stands for?
Anyway, all that is writen here appears to be plain conjecture without any concrete proof! Its all based on 'who said this', & 'who said that', all probably stemming from the green-eyed monster, 'Jealousy'.
I also want to comment on the statement made, "u guys know that Micky used to live in US,so he's used to kissing a stranger". It would be wrong to generalise that just because someone comes from America (the so-called decadent western culture), that everyone who has lived in America would go round kissing any Tom, Dick & Harry. Infact, it has been constantly made aware to me that migrants to a foreign land seem to hold on to their ancestral cultures more tightly, than people living in their land of origin.
Lol... having said all that. I would like to own up to the fact that I don't know a single person that has been discussed here. Don't know who Jessica, Yoo Chun, Dong Hae are! I merely stumbled across this gossip forum, wanting to know what is being discussed.
It all just sounds quite toxic to me!!!!! ;o)
I'm sure you (Hyun Bin) will probably not read this! Who has the time when you are big as you are! However, I've been having all these pent up feelings for the image I have of you especially after watching 'My Name is Kim Sam Soon'. At first when I saw you I was thinking to myself "This guy looks like any other Asian guy. Why is he the protagonist in this drama series?" By the time I reached episode 3 I fully understood why you were selected to be the protagonist. Its not so much how good you look (although you do look great), its the subtlety of emotions that registers in your facial expressions, specifically in your eyes that makes one unable to keep their eyes off you! Of course it helps to have such great chemistry with the female lead (Kim Sun Ah). She's absolutely brilliant! Before 'Kim Sam Soon' I was totally not interested in Korean Drama. I was under the (mistaken) assumption that all Korean Dramas are over the top, hence not worth my time. After watching 'Sam Soon', I have since revised my opinion. I must applaud the director for doing such a good job. The script is well written as it depicts how normal people would act, speak & react to situations. There is a universal quality to the script that makes it popular even outside of Korea. Anyway, I digress. I just wanted you to know that I've developed a huge girlie crush on you, which is very unbecoming of a woman my age. Thanks (or rather NO thanks)to you, I've been scouring YouTube for any hint of you, every single day for the past 2 months. My friends are sick of me (by now) because I mention your name incessantly at every given opportunity. I hope that I get over you SOON, as you are disturbing my peace of mind. I would also like to commend you on your superb acting skills. Keep up the good work cos you are a tribute to the Korean film/TV industry! My deepest apologies to all the fans here, for writing such a long essay. Like I mentioned earlier, this is the product of ALL the PENT-up emotions that has to come out eventually. So sorry!
